Who is Scott Berglund? A Dedicated Leader Steps Up for North Adams Mayor

Scott Berglund, a devoted family man, two-time cancer survivor, and seasoned business professional, today announced his candidacy for Mayor of the City of North Adams, MA. Berglund brings 25 years of extensive experience in sales and a profound commitment to community service to his mayoral campaign.

"I’m driven to make a difference in our community," says Berglund. "My journey, both professionally and personally, has prepared me to tackle complex problems and find effective solutions for North Adams." 

A proud graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Marketing , Berglund has successfully managed and grown territories across Connecticut and Massachusetts during his career, including his current role as a Sales Representative for Jasper Engines and Transmissions. His professional background has honed his skills in building strong relationships, understanding complex issues, and delivering results. As the former Vice President of the Professional Development for the Western Connecticut State Marketing Club, he developed a passion for community engagement and leadership that continues to drive him.

Scott is married to his wonderful wife, Kristy, and they are proud parents of two amazing children, Archer and Conner. "My family is my rock, and I'm committed to creating a brighter future for them and for every family in North Adams," Berglund stated.

Berglund's journey into public service began with a deep-seated commitment to protecting the city's natural resources, specifically fighting to protect the North Adams reservoir from logging. "This experience ignited a fire within me to fight for our community's values and interests," he explained.

As Mayor, Scott Berglund promises to prioritize key areas vital to North Adams' prosperity:
