Meet Scott Berglund: Our Neighbor, Our Future Mayor

Hello, North Adams! I’m Scott Berglund, and I'm running for Mayor because I believe in our city's incredible potential. As a devoted husband to my wife Kristy of 10 years, and a proud father to our two amazing kids, Archie and Conner, I understand the importance of building a community where families can thrive. My own journey, including bravely overcoming cancer twice, has only strengthened my resolve to make a meaningful difference.

For 25 years, I've built a successful career in sales, learning the art of connecting with people, dissecting complex challenges, and finding practical solutions. My Business Marketing degree from Western Connecticut State University taught me how to grow and build, skills I’ve applied across Connecticut and Massachusetts, and now eager to apply for North Adams. My early involvement as Vice President of the Marketing Club instilled in me a deep passion for leadership and community involvement.

My decision to run for Mayor was sparked by a simple, yet powerful, desire: to protect our precious reservoir from logging. This experience showed me the power of community advocacy and solidified my commitment to fighting for what's right for North Adams.
